River State Governor Rotimi Amaechi yesterday Monday July 9th gave money
and cars to NPL champions - Dolphin and the women’s cup holders, Rivers
Angels.
Each player of Dolphin got a Nissan Sunny car and N500,000, while the coaches got one million Naira each with a car. The Rivers Angels, who won the female FA Cup last season, each got a Ford car and N500,000.
The reward, according to the Governor, is to reward the teams for their hard work so far and encourage them to push harder to retain their title this season.
