Enough of my gist biko and lets proceed to my chat up of the day! Today is Martin Luther King Jnr Day and am dedicating today's chat-up to this selfless man who fought injustice through the nonviolence way.

Martin Luther King, Jr., (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American pastor, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. This honourable man was best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs.

Born Michael King but his father, Martin Luther King, Sr., changed his name in honor of the German reformer Martin Luther. A Baptist minister, King became a civil rights activist early in his career. He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first president.

MLK struggle on Civil right was inspired by a painful experience which he had while growing up as a boy. When MLK was a child, he befriended a white boy whose father owned a business near his family's home. When the boys were 6, they attended different schools, with King attending a segregated school for African-Americans. King then lost his friend because the child's father no longer wanted them to play together.

He was the chief spokesman for nonviolent activism in the civil rights movement, which successfully protested racial discrimination in federal and state law.

His love for humanity won peoples love for him which necessitated what is called Martin Luther King Jr Day (MLKDay) a day to be mapped out to celebrate him and his passion.
MLK Day is an American federal holiday marking the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr, observed on the third Monday of January each year, which is around King's birthday, January 15.

I would love us to understand what #MLKDay represent. Dr. King's life reminds us to seek light in darkness, to be the change, says
