Jonathan Reinstate Salami –NBA urges

The Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin branch, Mr. Rafiu Balogun, on Friday, urged President Goodluck Jonathan to reinstate the suspended President of the Court of Appeal,  Justice Ayo Salami.

He spoke during the 2012/2013 Legal Year/Valedictory Court Session in honour of the retiring Chief Judge of Kwara State, Justice Raliat Elelu-Habeeb.

Balogun appealed to the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, to review the circumstances

surrounding the suspension of Salami vis-à-vis the resolution of the National Judicial Council that Salami be reinstated.

He appealed to Adoke to advise Jonathan to act accordingly and reinstate Salami.

He stated that posterity would continue to be grateful to Adoke if he succeeded in persuading the President to recall Salami before it was too late.

He posited that Salami, no doubt, was one of the finest justices in the Appeal Court and must not be humiliated out of office.
