 ‘Half of A Yellow Sun’  About to kick off  in Calabar

Work has started on the film adaptation of Half of a Yellow Sun – the award winning novel, written by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The film, which will feature Genevieve Nnaji, Onyeka Onwenu, and Zack Orji, is currently being shot in the city of Calabar (Nigeria).  

The movie will be headlined by an international cast of actors, who are already in Nigeria. These include Thandie Newton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anika Noni Rose and Joseph Mawle. The movie is being directed by Biyi Bandele – a Nigerian novelist and playwright based in London. This will be his directorial debut. The movie will feature original music composed by Cobhams Asuquo, and Keziah Jones
